School #2-whole compound.

The building we put in was a critical addition to the area. Incidentally, the location was only a hundred yards from where I served as a PCV 20 years earlier.

School #2: Sucrawar School Addition

This project was done with donations from our church, Hope Christian, and some matching government grants. We gave them $2000, and with the matching money, they were able to build this facility. I casually joke that the public schools in our area can't do a bathroom remodel for $2000.

First School, 1989

This one was built while I was in the Peace Corps. The school housed 700+ students and was completed at a total cost of $2700

Tickets

I have purchased my tickets. Marty and I are leaving on 14 March and arriving at 9:15 am on March 16th. I learned my lesson from my last trip-I am getting out of Kathmandu as soon as we land and will be going to Dhulikel, a small town about 30 miles north of Kathmandu, where the air is clean and the environment is quieter.
We intend to leave Nepal and begin our return on 30 March.
